Two stars have quietly gone supernova:
The first nova, dubbed V462 Lupi, was initially spotted June 12 shining in the Lupus constellation, after its progenitor star suddenly became more than 3 million times brighter than normal. Then, on June 25, multiple astronomers detected another nova, dubbed V572 Velorum, within the Vela constellation, according to EarthSky.org. Astronomers normally expect to see a classical nova once a year at most, and more than one of these explosions shining simultaneously is almost unheard of.
Generally, supernovas were considered to be a sign of some manner of disaster. We know they mark time via Genesis 1:14:
And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years
Vela means “sails” like a ship has, and Lupus means wolf. Is it possible that some ship that was attacked by wolves is done for? What would that mean, exactly? Zebulun, the tribe, has a ship for a symbol. Is there something happening with wolves and that tribe, or about to? Probably, it means something is ending, as supernovas are a kind of star death…
